Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with ShelfPics. This policy explains when you can get your money back, how to ask and how long it takes. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

1. Summary

  • Full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have used less than 20% of the credits in that purchase.
  • Duplicate charges, billing errors and unauthorised charges are always refunded.
  • If the studio does not work as described and we cannot fix it, we refund you.
  • UK and EU consumers keep their statutory 14-day right to cancel. This policy never reduces it.
  • Email support@shelfpics.com or use the contact form. We decide within 3 business days, and the money reaches your original payment method in 5 to 10 business days.

2. How plans work

All plans are one-time payments in US dollars. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal, so there is nothing to cancel and you will never be charged again unless you choose to buy again.

  • Starter: $12 for 60 credits and 1 month (30 days) of access.
  • Pro: $29 for 220 credits and 3 months (90 days) of access.
  • Studio: $79 for 800 credits and 12 months (365 days) of access.

A clean-background shot costs 1 credit and an AI scene backdrop costs 2 credits. Unused credits expire at the end of the access period. Expired credits are not refunded.

3. When we refund

  • Early change of mind: you ask within 14 days of the purchase date and have used less than 20% of the credits included in that purchase. You get a full refund of that purchase.
  • Billing errors: you were charged the wrong amount or charged twice for the same purchase. We refund the extra amount, whenever you notice it.
  • Service faults: the studio does not work as described on our website (for example, cut-out or export fails on a supported, up-to-date browser) and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time after you report it. We refund the purchase, or the unused part of it if you have already used part of the plan successfully.
  • Unauthorised charges: someone used your card without your permission. Contact us and your card issuer; we refund and close the access granted by that payment.

4. Worked examples

  • You buy Pro (220 credits) and, after 6 days and 30 credits used, decide it is not for you. 30 is less than 20% of 220 (the limit is 44 credits), so you get a full refund.
  • You buy Pro, use 64 credits in the first week and ask for a refund. That is more than 20%, so the early change-of-mind refund does not apply. If you are a UK or EU consumer, see section 6.
  • You were charged twice for the same plan by mistake. We refund the second charge in full.

5. When we do not refund

  • Requests made after the 14-day window, or when 20% or more of the credits in that purchase have been used, unless another reason in section 3 applies.
  • Change of mind outside the window.
  • Credits that expired at the end of the access period.
  • Accounts suspended or closed because of misuse or a breach of our Terms of Service, for example the acceptable use rules.
  • Results that are a matter of taste. AI scene backdrops vary each time they are generated; you can generate the scene again. If a backdrop is broken or blank because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will return the credits.
  • Rejection of your images by a marketplace or ad platform, or sales and ad results. We do not guarantee these.

These limits never override your statutory rights described below.

6. UK and EU consumers: your statutory right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. This right applies in addition to this policy and nothing here reduces it.

  • If you asked us to make the service available during the 14 days and you started using credits, we may deduct an amount in proportion to the credits you have used before you told us you are cancelling. For example, if you used 10% of the credits, we refund 90% of the price.
  • To cancel, tell us clearly by email or the contact form, from the email address on your account, within the 14 days. You do not need to use any particular form.
  • We will refund you without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used.

7. Failed scenes and credit fixes

If an AI scene fails to generate because of a problem on our side, the 2 credits are returned to your balance automatically and you see a message saying so. Exporting the same shot in several sizes is charged only once. If you think credits were taken wrongly, write to us with the approximate time and we will check your shot records and correct the balance. This does not need a money refund.

8. How to request a refund

  • Email support@shelfpics.com or use our contact form from the email address on your ShelfPics account.
  • Include the date of purchase and the plan, and if you have it, the Stripe receipt number.
  • Tell us briefly why. For a fault, describe what happened and which browser and device you used, so we can try to fix it.

We reply during our support hours (Mon to Fri, 09:00 to 17:00 UTC) and give you a decision within 3 business days.

9. Timing and method

Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account. Once issued, refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. Refunds are made in US dollars, the currency you paid in; if your bank converted the payment, the amount you see may differ slightly because of exchange rates or bank fees that we do not control.

10. What happens after a refund

When a purchase is refunded in full, the credits and access days that came with it are removed from your account automatically. Images you already exported are yours to keep, subject to our Terms. For a partial refund, we adjust your balance by hand. Your account itself stays open unless you choose to delete it.

11. Chargebacks

If something went wrong, please contact us first. We can usually sort it out faster than a bank dispute. If you open a chargeback, we may suspend the account while the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is decided in your favour, the credits and access from that payment are removed, as with a refund. This does not affect your right to dispute an unauthorised charge with your bank.
